"And there went out another horse that was red," signifies the understanding of the Word destroyed as to good: "and it was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth," signifies the Word thence not understood, whence arise dissensions in the church; "that they should kill one another," signifies the falsification and extinction of truths: "and there was given unto him a great sword," signifies, by falsities.
