564. One woe is past; and, behold, there come yet two woes after these.- That this signifies one lamentation over the devastation of the church, and that lamentation over its further devastation follows, is evident from the signification of woe, as denoting lamentation over the evils and the falsities therefrom which vastate the church: see above (n. 532).
