216. Verse 11. Behold, I come quickly, signifies that this is certain. This is evident from the signification of "quickly," as being certainty and fullness (see above, n. 7). "Quickly" signifies certainty and fullness, because time and all things pertaining to time in the Word signify states; therefore "quickly" and "speedily" signify a present state of affection and of thought therefrom, consequently certainty and fullness.
