That this signifies that therefore it was set in order by the natural that was under the auspices of the internal, is evident from the signification of an "appointed portion," as being what is set in order; and from the representation of Pharaoh, as being the natural in general (see n. 5160, 5799, 6015). And because this setting in order in the natural comes from the internal, it is added that it was under the auspices of the internal, which was also represented by Joseph's being lord over all Egypt, and also over Pharaoh's house (as may be seen above, n. 6145).
