311. ECCLESIASTICAL AND CIVIL GOVERNMENT.

THERE are two things which ought to be in order among men; namely, the things which belong to heaven, and those which belong to the world. The things that belong to heaven are called ecclesiastical, and those which belong to the world are called civil.
