397. Verse 16 And Cain went out from the facea of Jehovah, and he dwelt in the land of Nod towards the east of Eden.

'Cain went out from the facea of Jehovah' means that he was separated from good present in faith and flowing from love. 'He dwelt in the land of Nod' means outside truth and good. 'Towards the east of Eden' is close to the understanding part of the mind, where love had reigned previously.
