6139. 'And give us seed' means an influx, as a result of this, of the good of charity and the truth of faith. This is clear from the meaning of 'seed' as the good of charity and the truth of faith, dealt with in 1025, 1447, 1610, 1940, 2848, 3078, 3310, 3373. It is self-evident that 'giving' them means an influx, for they enter a person by flowing in from the Lord.
