97. Altogether different, however, are the dogmas or doctrinals of the New Church. These are all essentials, in each of which there is heaven and the Church; and they look to this end, that man may be in the Lord, and the Lord in man, according to His own words in John, chap. xiv 20; and chap. xv 4, 5, 6. Nothing else than this union constitutes the Christian Church. From these few observations it can be clearly seen what is meant by these words of the Lord's:

He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. Rev. xxi 5.
