[60.] I heard the Pope who lived in the year 1738* speaking, who turned away from the Babylonish** error, renounced all power over souls and over heaven, and became Christian, worshiping the Lord alone. He related to me that he had spoken with almost all who had been made saints, of both sexes, and that he had seen none of them in heaven except two; and these two, he said, abhor being invoked.
