LEVITICUS 18

Now Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, I am Yehowah your God. 3 You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you used to live; nor shall you do as they do in the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you. You shall not walk in their statutes. 4 You shall observe my regulations, and keep my statutes, so as to walk in them; I am Yehowah your God. 5 You shall keep my statutes and regulations, for if a man observes them he shall live through them; I am Yehowah.

6 None of you shall approach anyone closely related, to uncover his nakedness; I am Yehowah. 7 You shall not uncover your father's nakedness or your mother's nakedness; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness. 8 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness. 9 You shall not uncover your sister's nakedness, your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether born in your home or in another. 10 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; for theirs is your own nakedness. 11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife's daughter, the child of your father; she is your sister, you shall not uncover her nakedness. 12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister; she is your father's blood-relation. 13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister; for she is your mother's blood-relation. 14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother by approaching his wife; she is your aunt. 15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife; you shall not uncover her nakedness. 16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness. 17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter also. Nor shall you take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are blood-relations; it is wickedness. 18 And you shall not take a woman together with her sister, to vex her by uncovering her nakedness along with her while she lives.

19 And you shall not approach a woman in the impurity of her uncleanness, to uncover her nakedness. 20 And you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her. 21 And you shall not dedicate* any of your descendants to Molech, and so profane the name of your God; I am Yehowah. 22 You shall not lie with a male as you would lie with a woman; it is an abhorrence. 23 Nor shall you lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; nor shall any woman approach an animal to lie down with it; it is a perversion. * lit give to pass over

24 Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for the nations which I will cast out from before you are defiled by all of them. 25 And the land is defiled, so that I have brought back its iniquity against it, and the land has vomited out its inhabitants. 26 Therefore you shall keep my statutes and my regulations, and shall not do any of these abhorrent things, neither the homeborn nor the one who has settled among you 27 (for the men of the land who were there before you have done all these abhorrent things, and the land is defiled); 28 or else the land will also vomit you out because you defile it, as it vomited out the nations which were there before you. 29 For whoever does any of these abhorrent things, whoever they are, shall be cut off from among their people. 30 Therefore you shall keep my charge not to do any of the abhorrent customs which have been done before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yehowah your God.
