NUMBERS 15
Now Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land where you are to live, which I am giving to you, 3 and you make a fire-offering to Yehowah, a burnt-offering or a sacrifice, to dedicate a vow-offering, or as a freewill-offering, or at your appointed feasts, to make an odour of rest to Yehowah, from the herd or from the flock, 4 then he who offers his gift to Yehowah shall bring a grain-offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil; 5 and you shall prepare wine for the drink-offering, a quarter of a hin, with the burnt-offering or the sacrifice, for each lamb. 6 Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain-offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil; 7 and you shall present wine for the drink-offering, a third of a hin, for an odour of rest to Yehowah. 8 And when you prepare a young bull for a burnt-offering or a sacrifice, to dedicate a vow-offering or communion-offerings to Yehowah, 9 then one shall bring with the bull a grain-offering of three tenths of an ephab of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. 10 And you shall offer for the drink-offering half a hin of wine, as a fire-offering for an odour of rest to Yehowah.
11 Thus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each of the he-lambs or goats. 12 You shall do this with each one in its turn, according to the number that you prepare. 13 All who are homeborn shall do these things in this manner, in presenting a fire-offering, an odour of rest to Yehowah. 14 And if a settler should settle with you, or anyone comes among you throughout your generations, who would offer a fire-offering, an odour of rest to Yehowah, he shall do as you do. 15 For the assembly, there shall be one statute both for you and for the settler who settles with you, a perpetual statute throughout your generations; the settler shall be as you are before Yehowah. 16 There shall be one law and one standard of judgment for both you and the settler who settles with you.
17 Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 18 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land to which I bring you, 19 when you eat the food of the land you shall make a reserved-offering to Yehowah. 20 From the first batch of your baking you shall present a cake for a reserved-offering; you shall offer it like a reserved-offering from the threshing-floor. 21 From the first batch of your baking you shall give to Yehowah a reserved-offering throughout your generations.
22 But if you err, and do not observe all these commandments which Yehowah has declared to Moses- 23 all that Yehowah has commanded you through Moses, from the day when Yehowah gave these commandments, and onwards throughout your generations- 24 then if it was committed inadvertently without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall present one young bull from the herd for a burnt-offering, for an odour of rest to Yehowah, with its grain-offering and its drink-offering, according to the ritual, and one he-goat from the flock for a sin-offering. 25 And the priest shall make a reconciliation for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their gift, a fire-offering to Yehowah, and their sin-offering before Yehowah, for their error. 26 And all the congregation of the sons of Israel and the settlers who settle among them shall be forgiven, because all the people were in error.
27 And if one person sins inadvertently, then he shall present a she-goat in its first year for a sin-offering. 28 And the priest shall make a reconciliation for the erring person, when he sins inadvertently before Yehowah, to make a reconciliation for him, so that he may be forgiven. 29 You shall have one law for the man who acts inadvertently, for both the homeborn among the sons of Israel and the settler who settles among them. 30 But the person who acts high-handedly, either home-born or settler, blasphemes Yehowah; and that person shall be cut off from his people. 31 That person shall be cut off completely because he has despised the word of Yehowah, and has broken his commandment; his iniquity shall be on him.
32 While the sons of Israel were in the desert, they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation. 34 And they placed him in custody, because it had not been made plain what should be done to him. 35 And Yehowah said to Moses, The man must be put to death; the entire congregation shall stone him to death outside the camp. 36 So the whole congregation took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, and he died; as Yehowah commanded Moses.
37 Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 38 Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them to make tassels for themselves on the hems of their clothes, throughout their generations, and to put a violet cord on the tassels on each hem; 39 and these tassels shall be for you to look at, so that you will remember all the commandments of Yehowah and observe them, and so that you will not seek after your own heart and your own eyes, through which you incline to adultery. 40 So you shall remember to observe all my commandments, and be holy to your God. 41 I am Yehowah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; I am Yehowah your God.
