DEUTERONOMY 30
Yet when all these things have come on you, both blessings and curses which I have set before you, and you take them to heart among all the nations where Yehowah your God has driven you, 2 if you turn to Yehowah your God and attend to his voice in accordance with all that I command you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and soul, 3 then Yehowah your God will restore -your fortunes and have compassion on you, and will return to gather you from all the peoples where Yehowah your God has scattered you. 4 If any of you are outcasts at the end of heaven, Yehowah will gather you from there, and fetch you from there; 5 and Yehowah your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it; and he will do good to you, and will multiply you more than your fathers. 6 So Yehowah your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, so that you will love Yehowah your God with all your heart and soul, and you will live. 7 And Yehowah your God will put all these curses on your enemies and those who hate you, who pursued you. 8 Then you will turn and attend to the voice of Yehowah, and observe all his commandments which I give you today. 9 And Yehowah your God will cause you to abound in good things through the work of your hands, in the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your ground; for Yehowah will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers, 10 if you attend to the voice of Yehowah your God, keeping his commandments and statutes which are written on this scroll of the law, if you turn to Yehowah your God with all your heart and soul.
11 For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it remote. 12 It is not in heaven, so that you say, Who will go up to heaven for us, to bring it to us and make us hear it, so that we may do it? 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you say, Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us, to bring it to us and make us hear it, so that we may do it? 14 For the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.
15 See, today I have put before you life and good, and death and evil, 16 in that I command you today to love Yehowah your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments, statutes, and regulations, so that you may live and multiply, and Yehowah your God may bless you in the land which you are going to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not listen, and you are driven away, and you bow down to other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you will certainly perish; you will not prolong your days in the land which you are crossing the Jordan to go to possess. 19 I call the heavens and the earth to witness against you today: I have set before you life and death, both blessings and curses; choose life, so that you and your descendants may live, 20 loving Yehowah your God, attending to his voice, and clinging to him, for he is your life and the length of your days; so that you may live in the land which Yehowah swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
