DEUTERONOMY 34

Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah east of Jericho; and Yehowah showed him all the land, from Gilead to Dan, 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh; and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea; 3 and the Negeb, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4 And Yehowah said to him, This is the land which I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, when I said, To your descendants I will give it. I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over to it. 5 Then Moses the servant of Yehowah died there in the land of Moab, in accordance with the word of Yehowah. 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; and no one knows his grave to this day. 7 And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eyes were not weak, nor had his natural vigour declined. 8 And the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning for Moses was ended.

9 And Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had placed his hands on him; and the sons of Israel obeyed him, and did as Yehowah had commanded Moses. 10 And no prophet like Moses rose up again in Israel, for Yehowah knew him face to face. 11 How great were the signs and wonders which Yehowah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and all his servants and all his land, 12 and the strong hand and the great fear which Moses brought about before the eyes of all Israel!
