EXODUS 35
Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, These are the things which Yehowah has commanded you to observe. 2 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be holy to you, a sabbath of rest to Yehowah; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death; 3 you shall not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.
4 And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said, This is the thing which Yehowah has commanded, when he said, 5 Take from among you an offering to Yehowah; let every one whose heart makes him willing bring the offering of Yehowah: gold, silver, and bronze; 6 violet, purple, double-dyed scarlet, fine linen, and goats hair; 7 rams' skins dyed red, badgers' skins, and acacia wood; 8 oil for the light; perfumes for the anointing oil and the incense of spices; 9 shoham stones, and stones for settings, for the ephod and the breastpiece.
10 And every wise-hearted one among you shall come and make all that Yehowah has commanded: 11 the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its clasps, its supports, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 12 the ark with its poles, the mercy-seat, and the veil of the screen; 13 the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 14 the lampstand for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; 15 the altar of incense with its poles, and the anointing oil and the incense of spices; and the screen for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle; 16 the altar of burnt-offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the layer and its base; 17 the hangings of the court with its pillars and its bases; and the screen for the gate of the court; 18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords; 19 the finely-worked robes to minister in the holy place, the sacred robes for Aaron the priest, and the robes for his sons, to minister in as priests.
20 Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. 21 And every one whose heart stirred him and every one whose spirit made him willing came and brought the offering of Yehowah for the work of the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the sacred robes. 22 So they came, both men and women; all the willing-hearted brought brooches and ear-rings, and rings and bead-clusters, all jewels of gold; and every one who came presented an offering of gold to Yehowah. 23 And every one who possessed any violet or purple or double-dyed scarlet or fine linen, or goats' hair or rams' skins dyed red or badgers' skins, brought them. 24 Every one bringing an offering of silver or bronze brought the offering for Yehowah; and every one who possessed any acacia wood for any of the necessary work brought it. 25 Then every woman who was wise-hearted spun with her hands; and they brought what they had spun in violet and purple, and double-dyed scarlet and fine linen; 26 and all the women whose hearts stirred them with wisdom spun the goats hair. 27 And the rulers brought the shoham stones and the stones for settings, for the ephod and the breastpiece, 28 and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil and the incense of spices. 29 The sons of Israel, all the men and women whose hearts made them willing to bring something for the work which was to be done, which Yehowah had commanded through Moses, brought it as a freewill-offering to Yehowah,.
30 And Moses said to the sons of Israel, See, Yehowah has chosen Bezalel the son of Un, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to compose designs for the work in gold, silver, and bronze, 33 and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, to work in every craft of the designer. 34 And he has inspired him to teach others, he and Ohohiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with ability to do all the work of an engraver and a designer, and of an embroiderer in violet and purple and double-dyed scarlet and fine linen, and of a weaver-of any craftsman, and of those who compose designs.* * In the printed text the first paragraph of the next chapter is joined with this paragraph.
