LEVITICUS 7
Now this is the law of the guilt-offering; it is most holy. 2 In the place where they slaughter the burnt-offering, they shall slaughter the guilt-offering; and one of the priests shall fling its blood all round against the altar. 3 And he shall offer from it all its fat: the fat tail, and the fat covering the entrails, 4 and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, which are by the loins; and he shall take away the lobe of the liver above the kidneys. 5 And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a fire-offering to Yehowah; it is a guilt-offering. 6 Every male among the priests may eat it; it shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy; 7 as with the sin-offering, so with the guilt-offering (there is one law for them); the priest who makes a reconciliation with it shall have it. 8 And the priest who presents any man's burnt-offering shall have the skin of the burnt-offering which he has presented. 9 And every grain-offering that is baked in an oven, and all that is cooked in a pot or a pan, shall be the priest's who presents it; he shall have it. 10 And all the sons of Aaron, every man equally with his brother, shall have every grain-offering, whether mixed with oil or dry.
11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of communion-offerings which one may present to Yehowah. 12 If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and cakes of well mixed fine flour mixed with oil. 13 He shall offer his gift with cakes of leavened bread, with his sacrifice of communion-offerings for thanksgiving. 14 And from each gift he shall offer one as a reserved-offering to Yehowah; it is for the priest who flings the blood of the communion-offerings; he shall have it. 15 And the flesh of his sacrifice of communion-offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his gift; he shall not leave any of it till morning. 16 But if the sacrifice of his gift is a vow-offering or a freewill-offering, then it shall be eaten on the day when he offers his sacrifice; and on the next day what remains of it may be eaten. 17 But what remains of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt in a fire. 18 For if any of the flesh of his sacrifice of communion-offerings is eaten on the third day, he who offers it shall not be accepted, nor shall it be reckoned to him; it shall be an abhorrence, and the person who eats it shall bear his iniquity. 19 And flesh which touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt in a fire. But as for flesh itself, everyone who is clean may eat flesh. 20 And a person who eats any of the flesh of the sacrifice of communion-offerings which are Yehowah's, while his uncleanness is on him, that person shall be cut off from his people. 21 And a person who touches anything unclean-the uncleanness of man or an unclean animal or any unclean swarming thing*-and eats any of the flesh of the sacrifice of communion-offerings which are Yehowah's, then that person shall be cut off from his people. * Heb sherets Many ancient manuscripts and versions read sheqets abomination
22 Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 23 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say, You shall not eat any of the fat of a bull or a sheep or a goat. 24 Also, the fat of a carcass and the fat of anything torn to death may be used for any purpose; but on no account shall you eat it. 25 For whoever eats the fat of an animal which men offer as a fire-offering to Yehowah, that person who eats it shall be cut off from his people. 26 Nor shall you consume any blood in any of your dwellings, either of a bird or of an animal. 27 If any person consumes any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people.
28 And Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 29 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say, He who offers his sacrifice of communion-offerings to Yehowah shall bring his gift to Yehowah, from his sacrifice of communion-offerings. 30 His own hands shall bring the fire-offerings of Yehowah; he shall bring the fat with the breast, so that the breast may be set aside as an offering before Yehowah. 31 And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar; but the breast shall be for Aaron and his sons. 32 And you shall give the right thigh for a reserved-offering to the priest from your sacrifices of communion-offerings; 33 among the sons of Aaron he who offers the blood and the fat of the communion-offerings shall have the right thigh for his part. 34 For I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast that is set aside and the thigh that is reserved, from their sacrifices of communion-offerings; and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons for a fixed due for ever from the sons of Israel.
35 This is the anointing-portion of Aaron and the anointing-portion of his sons from the fire-offerings of Yehowah, on the day when he presented them to minister as priests to Yehowah, 36 which Yehowah commanded to be given to them on the day when he anointed them out of the sons of Israel, as a fixed due for ever throughout their generations.
37 This is the law of the burnt-offering, the grain-offering, the sin-offering, the guilt-offering, the consecration,* and the sacrifice of communion-offerings, 38 which Yehowah commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day when he commanded the sons of Israel to offer their gifts to Yehowah, in the desert of Sinai. * lit fillings
