102. SUBSTANCE (Substantia).

Substance is form; substances are of three degrees (n 154-158 [CL 66]).

Good and truth are not given apart from substances, and substances are not given apart from forms; thus substance is form, and form is substance (341-343 [CL 66]).

Propagations therefore are substantial and material (344). (See OFFSPRING.)

Love, wisdom and use are in substance, and substances are forms (695-697, 698).

Substance becomes a subject through form (700-708 [CL 361]). Spiritual things are substantial (Memorabilia 1909 [CL 207]).
