17. IMMORTALITY (Immortalitas).
A man lives a man after death; and this, so that he loses nothing, but believes that he is in the world as before (3 [CL 28-31]).
This is unknown in the Christian world; and yet it is known from common perception (illustrated, 3 [CL 28]).
