31. Chapter 31 [Isaiah] 1 Those who trust in their own learning from self-intelligence, and not in the Lord, 4 2 are against Him; wherefore they have evil. 2, 4 3 They have no understanding of truth, but will fall into falsities. 2 4 They are to be destroyed at the time of judgment. 15 5, 6 The Lord will then protect those in whom is the church from Him. 11 7 Then they will reject falsities and evils. 11 8, 9 Those who trust in themselves will perish. 15 9 There will be good from the Lord in the new church. 11
