When I wrote about Bethlehem, whence was the Messiah, Nos. 4593-4 [AC], [to the effect] that they knew previously that the Messiah would be born there, then the Jews perceived and thought about the Messiah, that the prophecies say this, and that now it is scarcely known where Bethlehem is, and that it cannot be believed that the Messiah, whom they expect, should be born there, for they expect him from somewhere else.
