(I.) All the truths of faith in the church are from the Word. (II.) The truths of faith which are from the Word teach what is to be believed, and what is to be done, that a man may be allotted eternal life. (III.) The church is named from doctrine; and religion from a life according to doctrine. (IV.) With those who are in a faith separated from charity, both in doctrine, and life, there is neither a church nor religion.
