When by the Lord's command Thomas had seen His hands and touched His side, he said, My Lord and my God (John 20:27, 28). They remembered that God was their Rock, and the High God their Redeemer (Ps. 78:35). Jehovah of Armies is His name, and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel, the God of the whole earth shall He be called (Isa. 54:5). The same is evident from the fact that they adored Him, and fell upon their faces before Him (Matt. 9:18; 14:33; 15:25; 28:9; Mark 1:40; 5:22; 7:25; 10:17; Luke 17:15, 16; John 9:38). So in David:

We heard of Him at Ephratah; we will enter into His dwelling places, and will bow ourselves at His footstool (Ps. 132:6, 7). And it is the same in heaven:

I was in the spirit, and behold a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne like a jasper and sardine stone, and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And the four and twenty elders fell down before Him that sat on the throne, and adored Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne (Rev. 4:2, 3, 10). I saw in the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne a look sealed within and on the back side, sealed with seven seals, and no one was able to open the book. Then one of the elders said, Behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof and I beheld in the midst of the throne a Lamb standing, and He came and took the book, and they fell down before the Lamb, and worshiped Him that liveth for ever and ever (5:1, 3, 5-8, 14).
