Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah-Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshekh, and Tiras. 3 And the Sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 Among these the islands of the nations were divided in their lands, every one according to his language, by their families, in their nations.

6 And the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. 7 And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtab, Raamah, and Sabteka. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. 8 And Cush was the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty man in the earth. 9 He was mighty in hunting before Yehowah; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod, mighty in hunting before Yehowah. 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erekh, Akkad, and Kalnch, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land went Asshur,* and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-ir, and Kalah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Kalah; that is the great city. 13 And Mizraim was the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, Kasluhim (from which Pelishtim came), and Kaphtorim. 15 And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, 16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites, and afterwards the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. 19 And the country of the Canaanites was from Sidon towards Gerar, as far as Gaza; towards Sodom, Gomorrab, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Ham, by their families, according to their languages, in their lands, in their nations. * Or he went into Assyria

21 And children were also born to Shem, the father of all the sons of Eber, and the elder brother of Japheth. 22 The Sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpakshad, Lud, and Aram. 23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24 And Arpakshad was the father of Shelah; and Shelah was the father of Eber. 25 And two Sons were born to Eber; and the name of the one was Peleg (for in his days the earth was divided) and the name of his brother was Joktan. 26 And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerab, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Oba1, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. 30 And they lived from Mesha towards Sephar, the mountain in the east. 31These were the sons of Shem by their families, according to their languages, in their lands, according to their nations.

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah in the order of their birth, in their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.
