DEUTERONOMY 23

No one whose testicles are crushed, or whose male member is cut off, shall enter the assembly of Yehowah.

No bastard shall enter the assembly of Yehowah; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants may enter the assembly of Yehowah.

No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of Yehowah; even to the tenth generation none of their descendants shall ever enter the assembly of Yehowah, 4 because they did not meet you with food and water on the road when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor, of Pethor in Aram-naharaim, to curse you. 5 Nevertheless Yehowah your God would not listen to Balaam, but Yehowah your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because Yehowah your God loved you. 6 You shall never seek their peace or welfare all your life.

You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, for you were a settler in his land. 8 As for the sons who may be born to them, their third generation may enter the assembly of Yehowah.

When you go out as an army against your enemies, you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

If there is among you a man who is not clean by reason of an accident in the night, then he shall leave the camp; he shall not enter the camp. 11 But when evening comes, he shall bathe with water; and when the sun has set, he may enter the camp.

And you shall have a place outside the camp to which you shall go out. 13 And you shall have a spade among your tools, so that when you sit down outside you shall dig with it, and turn back and cover your excrement. 14 For Yehowah your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to deliver your enemies up to you, and your camp shall be holy; so he will see no indecency among you, and will not turn away from you.

You shall not deliver to his master a slave who has escaped to you from his master; 16 he shall live with you in your midst, in the place which he shall choose within any of your gates, as seems good to him; you shall not oppress him.

There shall be no temple prostitutes among the daughters of Israel, nor shall there be any temple sodomites among the sons of Israel. 18 You shall not bring into the house of Yehowah your God for any vow the earnings of a prostitute or the fee of a dog, for both of them are abhorrent to Yehowah your God.

You shall not make your brother pay interest-interest on silver, interest on food, interest on anything for which interest is paid. 20 You may make a foreigner pay interest, but you shall not make your brother pay interest; so that Yehowah your God may bless you in everything to which you set your hands in the land which you are entering to possess.

When you make a vow to Yehowah your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for Yehowah your God will surely require it of you, and it would be a sin in you. 22 But if you refrain from vowing, it shall not be a sin in you. 23 Whatever has proceeded from your lips you shall take care to do, as when you vow to Yehowah your God a freewill-offering which you promise with your mouth.

When you enter your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat grapes at your pleasure until you have had enough; but you shall not put any in a vessel. 25 When you enter your neighbor's standing corn, you may pluck the ears with your hands; but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor's standing corn.
