EXODUS 11

And Yehowah said to Moses, I will inflict one last plague on Pharaoh and Egypt; afterwards he will send you away from here. And when he sends you away, he will drive you away from here completely. 2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask, every man his neighbour and every woman her neighbour, for jewels of silver and gold. 3 And Yehowah gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was highly respected in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus says Yehowah, About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; 5 and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from Pharaoh's firstborn who was to sit on his throne, even to the firstborn of the maidservant who is behind the mill, and all the firstborn of the animals. 6 And there will be a great cry throughout the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again. 7 But not a dog will growl at any of the sons of Israel, against man or beast, so that you may know that Yehowah makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel. 8 And all these your servants will come down to me, and bow down to me, and say, Get out, you and all the people who follow you. And after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in blazing anger. 9 And Yehowah said to Moses, Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 So Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh; and Yehowah made Pharaoh's heart obstinate, and he would not send the sons of Israel away from his land.
