EXODUS 31
Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 2 See, I have chosen Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 3 and I have filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 4 to compose designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, 5 and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, to work in every craft. 6 And see, I have appointed Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him; and I have inspired all who are wise-hearted, so that they may make everything which I have commanded you: 7 the tent of meeting, the ark of the Testimony, and the mercy-seat which is on it, all the furnishings of the tent, 8 the table with its utensils, the pure lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense, 9 the altar of burnt-offering with all its utensils, the layer and its base, 10 the finely-worked* robes and the sacred robes for Aaron the priest, and the robes of his sons, for them to minister in as priests, 11 the anointing oil, and the incense of spices for the sanctuary; they shall do exactly as I have commanded you. * The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain
12 And Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said, 13 Now speak to the sons of Israel, and say, You shall keep my sabbaths without fail; for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that it shall be known that I, Yehowah, sanctify you. 14 And you shall keep the sabbath, for it is holy to you. He who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work then, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Work shall be done for six days, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of rest, holy to Yehowah; whoever works on the sabbath day must be put to death. 16 And the sons of Israel shall keep the sabbath, observing the sabbath throughout their generations, a covenant for ever. 17 It is a sign for ever between me and the sons of Israel; for in six days Yehowah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.
18 And when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, he gave to Moses the two tablets of the Testimony; they were tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
