LEVITICUS 9
Then on the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel. 2 And he said to Aaron, Take a bull calf from the herd for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without a blemish, and offer them before Yehowah. 3 And you shall speak to the sons of Israel, and say, Take a he-goat from the flock for a sin-offering, and a calf and a lamb, both in their first year, without a blemish, for a burnt-offering, 4 and a bull and a ram for communion-offerings, to sacrifice before Yehowah, and a grain-offering mixed with oil. For Yehowah will appear to you today.
5 So they took what Moses commanded to the tent of meeting; and all the congregation drew near and stood before Yehowah. 6 Then Moses said, This is what Yehowah has commanded you to do, so that the glory of Yehowah may appear to you. 7 And Moses said to Aaron, Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin-offering and your burnt-offering, and make a reconciliation for yourself and for the people; and offer the gift of the people, and make a reconciliation for them, as Yehowah has commanded.
8 So Aaron drew near to the altar, and slaughtered the calf of the sin-offering which was for himself. 9 And Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; and he poured out the blood at the base of the altar. 10 But the fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering he burnt on the altar, as Yehowah had commanded Moses. 11 And he burnt the flesh and the skin in a fire outside the camp.
12 And he slaughtered the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered the blood to him, and he flung it all round against the altar. 13 And they delivered the burnt-offering to him, part by part, with the head; and he burnt them on the altar. 14 And he washed the entrails and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.
15 Then he brought the gift of the people; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slaughtered it as a sacrifice for sin, like the first one. 16 And he brought the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the stated ritual. 17 And he brought the grain-offering and consecrated it, and burnt it on the altar; this was in addition to the burnt-offering of the morning.
18 Also he slaughtered the bull and the ram, the sacrifice of communion-offerings which was for the people; and Aaron's sons delivered the blood to him, which he flung all round against the altar, 19 with the fat from the bull and the ram, the fat tail, and what covered the entrails, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver. 20 And they laid the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat on the altar. 21 And Aaron set aside the breasts and the right thigh as an offering before Yehowah, as Moses had commanded.
22 Then Aaron lifted up his hands towards the people and blessed them; and he came down from making the sin-offering, the burnt-offering, and the communion-offerings. 23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people; and the glory of Yehowah was revealed to all the people. 24 And fire came out from before Yehowah, and consumed the burnt-offering and the fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
